... it's been just about 2 months since I made an actual personal post. That won't do.
I'm doing ok though. Not everything has worked out as I had hoped, but on the whole I think that life is going in a good direction and I'm making an effort to get back into working on things that I enjoy. I let work and other things kind of drag me a down a bit but it's time to get off my ass and get stuff done. It helps that work is going along pretty well and I'm really looking forward to stuff that I have lined up (which I'll post about later) so now I just need to build up some momentum and have some fun being my usual strange geeky self :-)
So yeah, I'm still here and I am once again resolving to get back into the swing of posting. Let's see how long I can do it for this time around :-)

Police Used Taser on 10-Year-Old Girl in Arkansas
I mean, seriously, what kind of weak, lame ass of a cop can't handle a combative 10 year old girl without resorting to the use of a potentially LETHAL weapon? Tasers aren't non-lethal they're LESS lethal and the people who make them know it (hence having to call them less lethal rather than non-lethal).
Officer Dustin Bradshaw is disgusting and pathetic example of a law enforcement officer and his Chief, Jim Noggle, is an incompetent douche bag of the highest order. Big wow, the police chief (a full grown man) has been tasered TWICE in his life, that's only 2x as many times as that little girl has been. I am really fed up with how often cops will hide behind bullshit language like "We didn't use the Taser to punish the child - just to bring the child under control so she wouldn't hurt herself or somebody else."
I'm sorry, but if a cop can't handle an unarmed 10 year old girl who's throwing a temper tantrum without having to resort to a weapon then that person is fail at being a cop and should be stripped of their badge and their gun (and their taser). The one small consolation I take from this is the fact that forevermore, Officer Bradshaw and Police Chief Noggle will come up on web searches for thinking that it's ok to taser a 10 year old girl. I hope they're proud of themselves...
(This is not to say that the mom isn't fail at being a mom too. If your kid is so unruly at 10 years old that you feel you need to call the cops to help you deal with her, then you are totally unfit to be a parent.)
